Professors & Staff

  • Maiko Mushanokoji

    Headmaister

Professor of wandlore and theory of magic. Maiko was the youngest champion ever to win the Grancyr Masters Rally, a competition held to appoint the school’s next leader. Believes firmly that chopsticks can do almost anything, make a wand not being among them.

“You can wear a small shoe, but make a large footprint.”

  • Faye LeFey

    Deputy Headmistress

Professor of potions and alchemy. She spent her formative years in the Brazilian rainforest studying plants and hunting vampires. Descending from a family line that includes a very famous sorceress, LeFey has been with Worthwich longer than any other professor.

“Anything you can charm, I can brew better."

  • Arafinn Silvanus

    Animagus & Magizoologist

Professor of magizoology. Arafinn was drafted by the previous headmaster, Dr. Furl Strange, and has no tolerance for intolerance. She enjoys researching the evolution of creatures and has always dreamed of discovering a new species.

“When I close my eyes I’m flying. I don’t much care where. When I open them again my feet are on the ground, but my hair is a mess.”

  • Ræv Ruvade

    Soothsayer & Curse Breaker

Professor of dark arts and divination. A most mysterious figure at Worthwich, not much is known about this seer’s life before he showed up in 2018 on special assignment. Raev can often be found participating in illicit activities on campus like broom races at the witching hour or trading in rare goods.

“They say wizards with wide sleeves have much to conceal. Perhaps it is true. But not everything hidden is dark, and many things said are undue”

  • Ellie Draiocht

    Bard

Professor of magilinguistics specializing in ancient runes and spellsongs. The first and only being she ever harmed (unintentionally, of course) was a doll called Kelly. Upon seeing her wand, Headmaister Maiko exclaimed this witch possesses much power and potential. Ellie was hired the very next moon.

“If you’re still long enough, the trees wake up. They sing. They walk. And they tell.”

  • Lucilius Theriot-Leep

    Historian & Quidditch Player

Professor of history of magic and quidditch coach. When not teaching, Luke enjoys researching methods of magical aviation. He hopes to reveal his prototype for a flying umbrella soon.

“Winds in the east, mist coming in. Like somethin’ is brewin’ and 'bout to begin. Can’t put me finger on what lies in store, but I fear what’s to happen all happened before.”

  • Mabina MacCormack

    Master Duelist

Beloved professor MacMac will most likely give you a cookie if you ask for it, but you better take her charms class seriously. An impassioned quidditch fan, Mabina has been banned at many cups, but is always a welcome face at the end-of-semester tourney.

“Anything you can brew, I can charm better.”

  • Nichola Thorn

    Herbalist & Naturalist

Professor of herbology. Nicholas Edwin Thorne Nutlett Circium Drumundii Bricklebush also specializes in magilinguistics and has a background in alchemy. The surname Thorne was an honorary designation given to him upon completion of his studies, although no one knows where these took place. Nichola refuses to reveal the identity of his alma mater for reasons unknown.

    “Double, double, soil and shovel.”

  • Gregor Bodach

    Fighter of Darkness

Guardian and protector of the school. Bodach is part werwolf and something else.

  • Joanna Walker

    Worthwich Alumnus

A former Wyverno prefect, Joanna graduated from the Defensive Magic track and now continues her career at Worthwich by helping other students find their path.
