Become a House Prefect
Each of the four Worthwich Houses has a designated student ambassador; this role is known as the House Prefect.
The role of the Prefect is vital; they are the link between students and staff. They maintain constant communication with their Head of House, offering insight into the pulse of the house, and are responsible for notifying staff of any issues or unmet needs that may arise during the semester. Perhaps most importantly, they uphold Worthwich’s core values throughout the semester - Acceptance, Inclusivity, Support, and Community.
Starting this year, the appointment of House Prefect will be for one semester. Students who want to take on the responsibilities of being a Prefect are encouraged to apply below. Each semester, prefects will be chosen by the Headmaister and each Head of House from a pool of self-nominated candidates. There is no limit to the number of terms a Prefect may serve, but they must re-apply each semester. Prior Prefects are not guaranteed the role for future semesters. Staff will carefully review the nominees, consult the oracles, and determine which candidate best suits the role's needs for the coming semester.
